Play-In Preview: Miami Heat

The Hawks finish the regular season, with a record of 41-41, ending exactly at .500. The Hawks are playing the Miami Heat later today.

Matchups

The Heat have the Hawk’s number, as the Hawks lost in the first round against them, and since then the Hawks play terribly against them. The Hawks are 1-3 against the Heat this season. The Heat have regressed this season, but none of that matters in the playoffs. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are a bad matchup for Young, as they can switch on guards and stay in front. Butler has the ability to take over games and grind them to a halt. The Heat’s defense will prove to be a struggle for Trae Young and company.

Prediction

The Miami Heat are a bad matchup for the Hawks, and I fully expect them to lose today. If there is any chance of the Hawks winning, they have to over power the Heat’s gritty defense with their offense. The Hawks can’t defend, and the Heat struggle to create offense, so whoever strikes first in that specific area will be the key to winning this matchup

There were a lot of rough patches, as well as bright patches, but the season is over, and the Hawks look to take on the Miami Heat to advance to the NBA Playoffs.
