ATLANTA — The Hawks signed free agent Alexander-Walker to a four-year, $62 million contract. Porziņģis was acquired through a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.
Alexander-Walker previously played as a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played 23.3 minutes per game and averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks during his three-year tenure with the Timberwolves.
He was a key rotational player for the Timberwolves, appearing in all regular-season games over the last two years. He has helped the Timberwolves make deep playoff runs, including a Western Conference Final run the previous year.
“I’m excited to be a Hawk,” Alexander-Walker said. “I’m excited to get to work and bring some wins to the city.”
Porzingis previously played as a center or forward for the Boston Celtics. He has helped Boston in making deep playoff runs, even winning the NBA Championship last year, in the 2024-25 season. He played 29.3 minutes per game and averaged 19.8 points, seven rebounds, two assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game.
Porzingis is coming off an illness that allowed him to miss last year’s Boston Celtics and New York Knicks series. He is expected to be available at the start of training camp.
