HOUSTON — The Atlanta Hawks played their first preseason game Tuesday, October 6th, at Toyota Center. They lose a close game, with a final score of 113-122.
The starting five for the Hawks were Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, Zaccharie Risacher, Jalen Johnson, and Kristaps Porzingis. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Onyeka Okongwu came off the bench at around the six-minute mark in the first quarter.
Other notable subs we saw were Luke Kennard, Keaton Wallace, Asa Newell, Mouhamed Gueye, Vít Krejčí, and Nikola Djurisic. Quin Snydfer everybody off the bench, with logging at least 3+ minutes.
The Houston Rockets’ starting five were Reed Sheppard, Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason, and Alperen Sengun. Kevin Durant was unavailable tonight. He is expected to make his NBA Preseason debut on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.
The Hawks play the Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis for their next preseason game. They play on Saturday, October 11th, at 8:00 PM EST.
