ATLANTA — The Hawks win in overtime, off a Caleb Houston buzzer-beater 3-pointer.
This was the second game of a back-to-back, so Quin Snyder decided to give the players a rest and give a chance to the players who did not play on Monday. Some Hawks, like Trae, shot in warmups but did not dress for tonight’s game.
Jacob Toppin led the game in scoring, with 26 points. Asa Newell also had an impressive showing, ending the game with 19 points.
Their record is now 2-1, counting yesterday’s game against Memphis. The Hawks had a great team effort in the win against Memphis, with four players scoring in double digits. Jalen Johnson scored a game-high 20 points.
The Hawks play the Houston Rockets again for their next preseason game. They play on Thursday, October 16, at 1:30 PM EST.
