Alexander-Walker Shines in Hawks’ Close Win Against Hornets

CHARLOTTE — Nickeil Alexander-Walker seals the game with a strip on Kon Knnuepel. The final score was 113-110.

Alexander-Walker finished the game with 23 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block on 58.55 TS% (True Shooting Percentage). He was the second leading scorer for the Atlanta Hawks. The starters did the heavy lifting, accounting for 98 out of 113 points.

The Hawks coveted his ability to space the floor and defend the perimeter at a high level. “You know what kind of defender he is,” Snyder said. “When you have guys who have that ability, there are times in the game where they raise their level [higher].”

Alexander-Walker slotted into the starting line-up in the absence of Trae Young. He is averaging 19.3 points, 0.9 steals, and blocks for the 2025-26 season. He has played in 14 out of the 16 games this season.

Alexander-Walker signed with the Atlanta Hawks this past offseason. He signed a 4-year, $60 million contract.
