Hawk Talk

Ronald Chy is a full-time student at California State University Fullerton, working on his Bachelor’s Degree. He expects to graduate in 2023. Chy is a communication major with an emphasis on public relations.

Chy is an account coordinator for his student-run firm, Titan Public Relations. He collaborated in a small group to create social media and grassroots campaigns to grow their clientele. He creates social media posts utilizing Instagram and TikTok, compiles media lists, writes pitch letters, and assembles a media kit for journalists. Chy also volunteers for Mary’s Kitchen Orange County, creating social media posts and flyers to help and update their website to help the homeless and bring in more volunteers. Previously, Chy was a Junior Associate for the Irvine Moms Network and My Creative Brand. He attended events as part of the media, so he could create videos to help showcase them to the clientele. Chy also wrote articles for the blog, compiled email lists, and organized events for the clientele. Chy has also served as the social media manager for his church, St. Charles Borromeo. In this role, he managed a team of five that was charged with raising awareness of the church through social media channels. He created content to support the events and highlight outstanding individuals in the community. In addition, Chy is heavily involved with his cultural club, The Pilipinx-American Student Association, where he worked as a publicity coordinator to develop flyers and promote his club’s cultural night.

Chy is a huge basketball fan. He enjoys watching his favorite NBA team, the Atlanta Hawks. Chy hopes to work for the Hawks as a communication professional. He also runs a personal blog that analyzes his favorite team, the Atlanta Hawks. In his free time, Chy enjoys being active. He enjoys running, playing basketball, and trying other new sports. When he is not out and about, Chy is often inside reading or playing video games.
