
LAS VEGAS — No.1 NBA Zaccharie Risacher led the team with 18 points , five and two assists in the Atlanta Hawks loss against the Washington Wizards the 94-88 Friday night.
Risacher showed flashes of his potential and why the Hawks took him first overall throughout the game. His aggressiveness, fluid handle, and smooth stroke impressed the crowd and coaches alike.
“I’m ready to do whatever the coach wants me to do,” Risacher said. “If coach wants me to take threes, I’m going to take threes. If he wants me to be aggressive, then I will be aggressive. It is just the type of player that I am.”
Alongside of Risacher, forward Mouhamadou Gueye had 18 points, guard Dylan Windler had 12 points and eight rebounds and Keaton Wallace had 10 points and six assists.
Guard Bub Carrington nearly had a double-double with 19 points and 9 rebounds, second-overall pick Alex Sarr had 12 points and 4 blocks and forward Justin Champagnie had 18 points.
Up five points late, the Hawks were unable to convert on offense, allowing the Wizards to win the game.
